White Crosses 2011

Easter White Crosses

In September 2010 the Lord gave me a picture of churches on Good Friday with large white crosses outside them. Written on the crosses were the names of people proclaiming that Jesus died and rose again for them.

I shared this with  a number of people including Bishop Paul Bayes of Hertford, and Dave Morris, Chairman of Churches Together in Stevenage. I also worked with Richard Hatton to produce guidance on how a cross could be constructed and erected. Click here to read more about the vision and guidelines.

After sharing this with C.T.I.S. Leaders I refined and sent out guidance notes.  Eight churches in the Stevenage area took part during Easter 2011. Some have already said that they will do this again in 2012.  The crosses attracted a lot of positive comments and publicity in the local press.  One church celebrated on Easter Sunday by pinning different coloured ribbons to their cross. My prayer is that more churches will use this way of proclaiming what Jesus did in 2012.
